GM kicks around an idea to seize on EV enthusiasm, report says
The idea -- to spin off GM’s EV operations as a standalone entity -- was raised with CEO Mary Barra during the automaker’s earnings call last week. People familiar with the matter told Bloomberg the idea was floated internally in 2018.
